The Reason Why

So the reason why I don't post much is because Blogger is so hard for me to navigate. Getting pictures on here is a nightmare. I can't get things on straight. I have used Picasa 3 and that works great if I only want a few (3) pictures on the post. PLEASE HELP.

The other reason is I know I am horribly boring in my writing. Most likely because after I have spent forever getting pictures where they are supposed to I am so frustrated that I can only say the details.

Sorry

Hey LannieRAE!

Pictures on Blogger ARE a nightmare. I have a process that I follow every time now that has simplified it for me. {Your writing isn't boring to me, btw.}

I type my post in Word {typos, you know :) } then copy & paste it to Blogger. Within the text I will put a number where I want my photo to go. {Usually it's at the end or beginning of a paragraph.}

Before I import a photograph I always downsize the photo so it is very small. That way it doesn't take hours to load and I'm not so frustrated if I screw it up and have to do it again. {I keep all of my downsized images for a single post in a single folder so they are easy to find.}

It seems like I usually upload one photo at a time because I'm a dork and like to alternate my photos right and left justified. And, {back to being a dork} I like to have my text wrap around the photos so they aren't bumping into each other---but then I probably write WAY TOO MUCH {as this comment demonstrates}, so there's never a shortage of text to cushion my photos.

If I don't have a lot of text or just have titles, I'll usually just center them all. On of my pet peeves with blogging is when you have to guess which caption goes with which pictures, so if I'm doing it the title/caption way, I always make sure there is ample spacing so it's visually obvious what goes together.

Back to inserting photos, after I upload a photo, I'll "cut" it and then highlight the number where it goes to paste it.

I always post after every picture is added so I can check to make sure it looks good, then I go back and add the next one. I know---this all must sound like too much to deal with, but it really works quite nicely for me.

Call me if you want me to walk through it will you on a dummy post or something.

I STILL MISS YOU LIKE CRAZY!!!! I can't tell you how traumatic it has been for me to have my favorite neighbor missing. :( :( :( To add insult to injury, Malisa's closer to leaving and Nicole's out of commission with the new baby. What's a girl to do? :) but really :(

In my defense, I'm only moving to Draper, not OUT OF STATE! Anyhow, I have some major Blogger issues, especially with the formatting. But unlike Lora, I am unwilling to spend much time fighting them.

As a side note, I've been on a bit of a blog break. I had missed a lot!
